Twitter removed Trump’s advisor’s post arguing that “masks don’t work”

Twitter shared by Scott Atlas, health advisor to US President Donald Drump. It removed on the grounds that it contained misleading information regarding the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Atlas suggested that the use of masks did not work against the disease.

Twitter posted on Scott Atlas, one of the most visible members of the US President Donald Trump’s coronavirus task force. Removed a post claiming that the widespread use of face masks did not slow the spread of Covid-19.

Atlas, a radiologist known to have done no previous study on viruses. Earlier this year, he became one of the 74-year-old US President’s coronavirus consultants.

Previously claimed that “herd immunity” can be achieved with 20-25 percent of the infected population. He argued that pervasive testing and contact tracking “highly misguided.”

However, Atlas frequently clashes with other members of the White House corona virus task force.

In the USA, the country most affected by the pandemic, more than 8 million cases and approximately 225 thousand virus-related deaths have reported so far.
