Tesla earned record revenue in the third quarter

Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has announced that it made a fifth consecutive quarter, surpassing analysts’ predictions. The company reported that it is on track to deliver 500,000 cars in 2020, despite weak sales in the rest of the global auto industry.

In the third quarter, Tesla’s turnover increased from $ 6.30 billion in the same period last year to $ 8.77 billion. Expectations were that the revenues would be 8.36 billion dollars.

In the same period, the net profit realized as 331 million dollars, below the expectations of 394 million dollars. Excluding one-off items, net profit rose to $ 874 million. Tesla’s adjusted earnings per share was 76 cents, well above expectations of 57 cents.
