Natalie Portman explained the negativity of her cinema debut at a young age

Natalie Portman talked about how she built castles to protect herself after being sexualised by the media during her adolescence.

She started his cinema career in the mid-1990s. 1994’s Léon: The Professional, Natalie Portman, who rose to fame by starring in movies like the 1996’s Beautiful Girls. She confessed that playing these roles caused her to be portrayed as lolita in the media.

Portman said, “I think being sexualised as a child took something of my own sexuality because it scared me. It made me feel like the way I could be safe was saying ‘I’m conservative, I’m serious and you have to respect me, I’m smart and don’t look at me that way’ ”

The 39-year-old actress continued as follows: Whereas at that age you have your own sexuality, you have your own desires and you want to discover something. You want to be clear; but when older men take care of you, you inevitably don’t feel safe. and you say ‘No, no, no no no’.

Explaining how she built castles to protect herself, the actor also said that she painted an image of being chaste. “I am aware that I was developing this consciously because it was a way of feeling safe,” said the actress.
