16 people died in the flood in Nangarhar province in the east of Afghanistan.

Ataullah Hogyani, the spokesperson of the Nangarhar Governorate, told the press that excessive rains in the Nangarhar district of Kuzkunar caused floods.

Expressing that 16 people, 15 of whom were children, died in the flood disaster, Hogyani stated that 4 people were injured.

Hogyani noted that many houses were also destroyed due to the flood.
