The number of people who died in the outbreak of the new type of corona virus (Covid-19) in the African continent rose to 20 thousand 12.
According to the “Worldometer” website, where up-to-date data on new cases in countries and regions with Covid-19 are compiled, the number of people infected by the virus has increased by 15,327 in the last 24 hours to 947 thousand 104.
The number of those who died due to the pandemic increased by 286 to 20 thousand 12.
The highest casualties to date from Ckovid-19 have been seen in South Africa, with 8,153 deaths. Egypt was followed by Egypt with 4,834 deaths, Algeria with 1223, Nigeria with 883 and Sudan with 752.
The countries with the highest number of cases were listed as South Africa (503 thousand 290), Egypt (94 thousand 316), Nigeria (43 thousand 537), Ghana (35 thousand 501) and Algeria (30 thousand 950).
No deaths have been reported so far in Seychelles and Eritrea.
In Africa, 605 thousand 50 people who were outbreak defeated the disease.
