Donation from Russell Crowe for Beirut’s symbol restaurant (For Anthony Bourdain)

Famous Australian Actor Russel Crowe helped the donation campaign for the rescue of the humble but famous restaurant Le Chef, which was damaged by the explosion in Beirut. Stating that he made this donation in memory of the famous chef Anthony Bourdain, Crowe said, “He would do the same if he was alive.”

The explosion that took place in the Port of Beirut caused great damage in the Cimmeyze neighborhood, which is close to the port, where cafes, restaurants, restaurants and historical churches are located in the capital.

Known for its world-famous but modest Lebanese traditional home cooking in the neighborhood, Le Chef restaurant came to the fore as one of the places that suffered greatly in this explosion.

Actor Russell Crowe confirmed on his social media account that he donated to the charity campaign launched to save and reopen the restaurant online.

Crowe announced that he made this donation in memory of the famous chef, food writer, television programmer Anthony Bourdain, who died in 2018, saying, “He would do the same if he was alive.” Crowe conveyed his wishes of getting back into operation and his wish to regain his old days in a short time.

American Bourdain commented “a legendary spot with its classic, home-style plates” after visiting Le Chef in 2018.
