People at the polls in Italy for the two-day constitutional referendum

The people in Italy started to vote in the constitutional amendment referendum to determine the number of parliamentarians.

The voting process, starting at 07:00 local time across the country, will take two days.

Ballot boxes will be open for voting until 23:00 today and between 07:00 and 15:00 tomorrow.

46 million 641 thousand 856 registered voters in the country will be able to vote.

In addition to the referendum, regional elections will be held in 7 regions, one of which is an autonomous region, and municipal elections will be held in 957 towns.

18 million 473 thousand 922 voters living in Campania, Liguria, Marche, Puglia, Tuscany, Veneto and Valle d’Aosta will also vote for their regional governments.
