Madrid closes for 10 days due to pandemic

Madrid’s regional government said on Friday. It has confirmed that the Autonomous District of Madrid will closed for 10 days from December 4th to December 14th.

Travel to the capital of Spain and the surrounding area during the long weekend break from December 5 to December 8. Closure measures taken to stop coronavirus transmission from the outside or contamination from this area.

Zapatero said that the curfew in the area will continue from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. He explained that the number of people who can come together will limited to a maximum of six people.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez also announced on Friday that the government is drafting a “comprehensive vaccination plan” that will be approved at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Sanchez, speaking at an event held in the La Rioja region in northern Spain. Thanks to this plan, Spain “will the first country in the EU to have a complete vaccination plan with Germany”.

“We are ready. Our estimates show that a very significant portion of the Spanish population can vaccinated in the first half of the year. This is guaranteed,” Sanchez said.
