In the capital city of Madrid, police intervened against demonstrators trying to block Granvia Street in the city center. It was reported that there were injuries in the incidents that turned into street fighting and police detained some demonstrators.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in a message published on his Twitter account. “Violent and unreasonable behavior by minority groups cannot tolerated. We can overcome the pandemic that devastated all countries only through responsibility, unity and sacrifice.”
