The country of birth of Melania Trump, wife of US President Donald Trump, is in Slovenia. A new one was erected in place of the burnt wooden statue. This time bronze was preferred for the new sculpture.
Statue erected in Sevnica, the town where the US First Lady Melania Trump was born. The life-size statue, which was burned on July 4, US Independence Day, was replaced by a new one.

This time, the statue made of bronze was placed on the same pedestal.
Downey thinks the previous statue was burned in reaction to Donald Trump’s policies. He said it is now harder to damage the new statue.
The remains of the old statue erected in July 2019 are on display at an art gallery in the town of Koper, Slovenia. The police explained that the person or persons who burned the statue could not be found.
