Joe Biden, elected as the president of the USA, is in the Donald Trump administration’s team to fight the new type of Coronavirus (Covid-19). Director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci asked to join his team.
Biden said in an interview with CNN television that he asked Dr Fauci to join his team to fight Covid 19.
“I asked Dr Fauci to remain in the same role, to be my lead advisor and to join my Covid team,” says Joe Biden.
Dr Fauci, whom Trump occasionally opposed and criticized his recommendations, became the focus of attention in the US public throughout the pandemic.
Fauci, who is seen as a “hero” and whose views are frequently consulted, drew backlash among Trump supporters.Biden stated that on the first day he took office, he would ask the American people to wear a mask for 100 days as part of the fight against the pandemic.
“I think there will be only 100 days of mask, not forever, only 100 days, and so the cases will be greatly reduced,” says Biden. Stating that Dr. Fauci will be vaccinated if he says it is safe, Biden said that he will vaccinate in front of the public to show that it is safe.
