Sputnik V vaccine trials begin in India

Sputnik V vaccine, the world’s first registered coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine. It announced that clinical trials will begin next week in India.

The clinical trials on humans will begin next week, with more than 180 volunteers enrolled so far.

First batch of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine for Covid-19. The vaccine is expected to arrive next week at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College, where phase 2 and phase 3 trials will take place.

An official involved in the Sputnik V vaccine; stated that up to 180 volunteers were registered for trials in India.

Head of research Saurabh Agarwal, “One dose will be given and the volunteers’ status will be monitored to determine if they need a more dose.”
