Real ‘Rapunzel’ found in Germany: growing her hair since she was 16

Stefanie Classen, who lives in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been growing her hair since the age of 16. Classen, who has more than two thousand followers on social media, stated that she will not cut her hair until they reach 2 meters in length.

The real version of Rapunzel, one of the famous fairy tales, appeared in Düsseldorf, Germany. A 31-year-old woman named Stefanie Classen, who works as a security guard, has not cut her hair for 15 years.

Speaking to local media, Classen said, “When I turned 16, I decided not to have my hair cut. I always associate being with long hair with being beautiful. Right now, my hair is reaching my wrists. My boyfriend Ralph takes pictures of me. When I was little, my family had a haircut when my hair reached my shoulders. When I became an adult, I decided to extend it.”

Stating that she has set a goal for herself, Classen said, “I think my hair will be 2 meters by 2022. It will be fun to see it grow that long. I think after achieving this goal, I can go to the hairdresser and have a cut up to the foot level. After that, I continue to keep it long.”
