World’s youngest Prime Minister Sanna Marin gets married

Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, Married with Markus Raikkonen, she has been together for 16 years.

Following the resignation of Prime Minister Antti Rinne in Finland last year, Sanna Marin 34, she won the title of the youngest prime minister in the world with the new government’s vote of confidence, entered the world house with her lover Markus Raikkonen.

According to the information on the Finnish government’s website, the wedding ceremony of the couple was held on Saturday evening in the official residence of the prime minister Kesaranta.

Prime Minister Marin shared photos of the wedding attended by 40 people on her personal Instagram account.

WHO IS SANNA MARIN?

Sanna Marin was born on November 16, 1985 in Helsinki and lived in Espoo and Pirkkala before moving to Tampere. She graduated from Pirkkala High School in 2004 at the age of 19. In 2017, she graduated from Tampere University with a master’s degree in Administrative Sciences. Marin joined the Social Democratic Youth in 2006 and served as the first Vice President between 2010 and 2012. She was a candidate in the 2008 Finnish municipal elections, but was not elected.
She has been active in politics since 2012. In the 2012 elections, she was elected to the Tampere City Council at the age of 27, which is the breakthrough moment in his political career. From 2013 to 2017 she was the president of the City Council. In 2017, she was re-elected to the City Council. She is also a member of the Tampere District Council Assembly. She also became a member of the Pirkanmaa Regional Council between 2013 and 2016.

In 2014, Marin was elected Deputy Chairman of the Social Democratic Party. In 2015, at the age of 30, he was elected to the Finnish Parliament as a deputy from the election district of Pirkanmaa. She was re-elected four years later. On June 6, 2019, he became Minister of Transport and Communications.

On 8 December 2019, Antti Rinne left Finland’s Social Democratic Party Marin as the new candidate for prime minister. After the parliament’s approval, Marin became the youngest prime minister of the world currently serving and the youngest prime minister in Finland. Marin was also elected the country’s third female prime minister after Anneli Jaatteenmaki and Mari Kiviniemi.
