Buffett announced that they acquired shares in five Japan-based trading companies. Berkshire Hathaway controlled 5 percent of the country’s largest trading companies.

This step interpreted as Buffett’s attempt to move away from the US market a little. Shares of Itochu, Marubeni, Mitsubishi, Mitsui and Sumitomo companies invested by Buffett. After the spread of the news, it gained between 5 percent and 12 percent.

The value of the famous investor’s shares in these companies is at the level of 6 billion dollars.

The announcement of the investment, which was made in a total of 12 months, announced on Buffett’s 90th birthday.
