It turned out that Joshua Colon, who was chosen as the “Health Officer of the Year” in 2020 in Polk County Municipality of Florida, had a share in the theft of corona virus vaccines. Colon, 31, was arrested on January 25 for covering up his superior’s stealing of three 10-dose vials of Moderna vaccine. Acknowledging that he had forged documents, Colon was released on bail while facing charges of forgery, fraud, and abuse of office.
On January 25, the supervisor of Joshua Colon, 31, who was named “Health Officer of the Year” in 2020 in Polk County Municipality of Florida state of the United States, was arrested on January 25 for covering up his stealing of three 10-dose vials of Moderna vaccine.
Colon was released on bail, admitting to falsifying the paperwork. Colon faced charges of forgery, fraud, and abuse of office.
Speaking to local media, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the vaccines were delivered to Colon on January 6 to be given to the first people at the time of vaccination. An investigation was initiated after finding inconsistencies in the vaccine forms he filled out at the end of his shift.
On the other hand, a pharmacist in the US state of Wisconsin was arrested on suspicion of deliberately inactivating more than 500 doses of corona vaccine.
