Trump opposes virtual debate with Biden

US President Trump said he would not participate in the debate with his rival Biden if it made virtual.

It reacted to the impartial Presidential Discussions Commission’s announcement that the second debate would be held virtual because the President’s new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) test was positive.

The US President said that a virtual debate “would not be acceptable to them”. He accused the moderators of trying to protect his Democratic rival, Biden.

US President Donald Trump said, “I will not participate in a virtual debate.”

The Commission announced that the second debate between Trump and Biden will be held virtual to protect the health and safety of all who will attend the candidates’ virtual participation in the discussion in Miami from different venues was appropriate.

Trump, “I’m looking forward to the live broadcast discussion to be held in Miami on Thursday, October 15th. It will be very nice.”
