The punishment of the Russian professor who killed his girlfriend has been determined

Russian professor who killed and ripped his girlfriend to pieces has been punished. The Russian history professor Oleg Sokolov, who murdered his student and girlfriend Anastasia Yeshchenko and dismembered her body, sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison.

A verdict hearing was held in the court where Sokolov was tried for murder and illegal weapon possession.

The prosecutor sought 15 years in prison for Sokolov. The court sentenced the defendant to 12 years and 6 months in prison.

Professor Oleg Sokolov, one of Russia’s leading historians, murdered Anastasia Yeshchenko and dismembered her body in November last year.

Sokolov, who threw Yeshchenko’s pieces into the river, pleaded guilty after his capture.

St. Sokolov, who is shown as a faculty member of the History Institute of St. Petersburg State University and one of the world’s leading Napoleonic experts.

In 2003, France’s highest ranking “Legion d’honneur” was awarded.
