The number of people hospitalized due to Covid-19 in the UK has increased by about 25 percent in one day. 478 people were hospitalized in the country on Sunday. This is the highest number since the beginning of June. The number of people hospitalized on Saturday was 386.

More than two-thirds of those hospitalized on Sunday are reportedly in the North West, North East and Yorkshire regions.
14,542 new coronavirus cases were announced in the country on Tuesday. The number of coronavirus cases tripled within two weeks.
Additional measures were introduced in many parts of England, including Scotland and Northern Ireland, to prevent the spread of the virus.
Although the measures vary from region to region, these include measures such as not meeting people outside the household, not using public transportation except when necessary such as school and work, and not participating in amateur and professional sports activities.
But Professor John Edmunds, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board in the UK, said stricter measures were needed to contain the outbreak.
“Frankly, it would be wiser to bring them now.”
It seems that the government is preparing a plan consisting of three levels. In this system, measures in local regions will be determined according to the number of cases per 100,000 people.
According to the first level, if the number of cases per 100,000 people is less than 100, country-wide measures such as the inability to gather more than six people will be implemented.
