Browne stated that her mother called the nursing home in May and asked if they could take her to the garden to see her father. “I had just arrived when I saw my mother kneeling there and I was getting out of the car. I remember thinking ‘This is true love’ when I saw them ”
Photographing those moments of his parents, Browne made a statement to the local media on the issue, “When I posted the photo on Twitter, my only intention was to emphasize my parents’ commitment. It was not giving a political message. It’s amazing how such a simple love photo has the power to change the world. People told us that this photo made them think for a moment and opened their eyes ”
