Sweden switches to digital money! Date given

The Swedish government has pressed the button to replace the national currency krona with the digital currency. Per Bolund, Swedish Financial Markets Minister, announced that the project is planned to be implemented in 2022.

Sweden has officially taken the first step to launch its digital currency. The Swedish government will replace the national currency krona with the digital currency.

Making statements on the subject, Swedish Financial Markets Minister Per Bolund announced that the project is planned to be implemented in 2022.

This project is not the only Swedish project on digital currency. The Swedish Central Bank is working on a pilot project to support digital currencies.

Sweden is among the countries that use the least cash in the world. The use of paper money in the country has been declining steadily in recent years.

Only 1 out of every 10 payments in the country is made in cash.
