Response to Cardi B accusations Joe Biden’s pawn

Famous rap singer Cardi B. responded to critics who accused her of being a political pawn in Joe Biden’s presidential campaign before the US elections, saying “stupid” and “ignorant”.

In August, the artist had a much-discussed conversation with the newly elected president, discussed issues such as police brutality and pledged support. The controversial Republican commentator Candace Owens called Cardi “stupid” and “ignorant” after the conversation was posted online and denounced Biden for interviewing her.

Cardi responded to this criticism by citing its impact on millions of young Americans, many of whom would vote for the first time.

“A few weeks ago I was harshly criticized by Trump supporters for this interview, especially Candace (Owens), who had been trying to humiliate my name for 2 years. Republicans like Candace, (I) Shapiro, Fox News made fun of me, constantly throwing mud at me and my song ‘WAP’. They said Biden was using me as a pawn, then weeks later we saw a list of rappers and artists that Trump tried to reach and would pay for support, and my name was on the list.

Cardi added that she felt it was important for her fans to get to know Biden and encourage her to vote in the election.

Cardi B said, “I’m very proud of all these celebrities using their platforms and those who went out and voted. We did it!” she wrote. Cardi also congratulated Biden and vice president Kamala Harris:
“You made history!”
