Although Thunberg said on social media that she liked being satirized with a puppet. Having fun with the 17-year-old climate activist with autism in this way angered some.

Making a statement upon the reactions, ITV channel official Reemah Sakaan said that there was no problem with Greta puppet. “This is a very simple joke and has nothing to do with it as an individual”.

Responding to the criticism, Roger Law, one of the creators of the puppets, stated that the new show will surprise people from all over the political spectrum.

Explained that targeting only right-wing figures was “not fun”. “There’s a lot of ammunition to be thrown to the other side as well. Let’s throw it all in,” Law said.

“People sit around looking for things to complain about. I’m doing big noses and big ears. It’s personal, not racist,” Law said.
