Reached orbit for the first time

Spacecraft maker and space tourism company Virgin’s LauncherOne rocket has reached orbit for the first time.

Virgin Orbit, one of Richard Branson’s space companies, has reached orbit for the first time.

Launching a small rocket from Boeing 747 aircraft, the company announced that it has successfully orbited 10 different cubic satellites.

According to the news in the British Daily Mail newspaper, Virgin Orbit’s 21-meter-long rocket LauncherOne was dropped from a height of about 10.7 kilometers.

Transported by a Boeing 747 model airplane and left at this altitude, the rocket placed NASA satellites in orbit.

Successfully reaching the company for the first time, the company will offer a service to transport light loads weighing 500 kilograms to orbit.

The company conducted a similar test flight in May 2020, but the LauncherOne rocket failed to reach orbit on this flight.
