Rafael Nadal at the club of the 1000s

Rafael Nadal defeated Feliciano Lopez 2-1 in round 2 of the Paris Masters Tennis Tournament. Achieved the 1000th singles win in his career.

In the second round of the hard court tournament held in Paris, the capital of France, 1st seeded Spanish Nadal met his citizen Lopez, who is in the 64th place in the world rankings.

Losing the first set by 6-4, Nadal left the field 2-1 with 7-6 and 6-4 sets, although it was difficult against his opponent. The Spanish racket, who won his first professional career win in 2002 at the ATP tournament in Mallorca, won his 1000th singles match with this result.

34-year-old Nadal became the 4th tennis player to achieve this in the open period, after Jimmy Connors (1274), Roger Federer (1242) and Ivan Lendl (1068).
