Racism warning for five movies from Disney

Walt Disney, one of the biggest companies in the US entertainment industry, added a “content” warning for its productions “The Aristocats”, “Lady and the Tramp”, “Dumbo”, “Peter Pan” and “Jungle Book” due to racist depictions.

Walt Disney has decided to add a “content” warning for some of its productions due to racist portrayals.

“This program contains negative portrayals or maltreatment of people or cultures,” Walt Disney warned of this films.

In the statement made by the company, it stated that these stereotyped depictions were wrong in the past and now.

Films that carry the warning include “The Aristocats”, “Lady and the Tramp”, “Dumbo”, “Peter Pan” and “Jungle Book”.

The company first added a brief warning about racism in November 2019.
