Postponed ‘2020 Tokyo Olympics’ schedule announced

The program of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which was postponed to 2021 due to the new type of corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak, has been announced.

In the statement made by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), it was stated that everything will remain the same between the time delayed from this year and the program of the organization to be held next year, except for minor differences in time.

In Tokyo, including the Olympic village and media centers, all 43 previously prepared buildings for postponed games will be used next year.

Tokyo 2020 will start on 23 July 2021 with a ceremony to be held at the newly built Japan National Stadium. Tokyo 2020, which is planned to be the most Olympic medal (339) to be distributed, will end on August 8.
