Operation Legend launched in the USA has been expanded to 3 cities

In the U.S., President Donald Trump’s administration said they will send federal security forces to Detroit, Milwaukee and Cleveland to combat street violence.

In a statement by the U.S. Department of Justice, it was announced that the Legend Operation launched by President Donald Trump will expand to combat violent crimes on the street.

The ministry announced that federal security forces will be sent to the cities of Detroit, Milwaukee and Cleveland as part of the enlargement.

Justice Minister William Barr said, “Today we have decided to expand Operation Legend. There are uncomfortable increases in violence crimes, especially in the number of murders. Therefore, we will expand the operation in 3 cities, Cleveland, Detroit and Milwaukee. ”

In the USA, the protests against police violence and racism, as well as the increase in murder and violence crimes, cannot be prevented. Hundreds of federal security forces were recently dispatched to Chicago, Albuquerque and Kansas.

There was an increase of approximately 40 percent in murders compared to the same period of 2019 alone in Kansas. It was stated that among the victims, a 4-year-old boy was killed in his bed.

The expansion decision on Operation Legend drew the response of the authorities in Milwaukee. It was alleged that the federal security forces were sent to the cities not to reduce the crime of violence, but to suppress demonstrations against police brutality and racism.

“Where were you when the white men pressed the government building with their guns,” Pramila Jayapal, a member of the US House of Representatives, pointed to the statement by Minister Barr. said. “Don’t confuse Operation Legend with protests,” said FBI Special Representative Robert Hughes used expressions.

Oregon Governor Kate Brown, on the other hand, agreed to the gradual withdrawal of federal security forces from Portland, intervening with the federal government’s violent brutality and ongoing racist demonstrations.

In other news, US President Donald Trump said last week as part of the operation, “No more blood should be shed. We will find criminals, judge them, put them in prison. We have no choice but to step in.” he said.
