Naomi Campbell: Racism must be tackled

British model Naomi Campbell made statements about racism to Vogue magazine, where she was on the cover.

Jamaican model Naomi Campbell said, “In the past I didn’t want people to accuse me of using racism as an excuse. That’s why I have been told that some of the things I did when I was young were bad for my race. However, when I am making my decision now, I think more of my culture and race than myself. ”

“NECESSARY TO REMOVE”

Stating that she was not featured in many magazines because she was black, Campbell said, “Instead of suppressing racism, they should expose racism and deal with racism.”

“THE FIRST BLACK WOMAN WITH THE COVER”

Campbell has the distinction of being the first black woman to make a cover for Vogue in 1988.
