Michael Jackson confession from Mike Tyson’s: it blows my ego

Boxing legend Mike Tyson described the moments when he met Michael Jackson, who was described as the “King of Pop”, and ignored him. For the incident, which Tyson told years later, “He blows my ego”, he said.

Speaking to a podcast channel, boxing legend Mike Tyson stated that Michael Jackson “ignored” him.

Tyson, the world’s only heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990, talked about the moments he met Jackson with organizer Don King.

Tyson said: “I met Mike one day, I think he was at a concert in Cleveland. I was with Don King. And I was a champion, I won everything unquestionably. Don saluted Micheal Jackson with a sign of peace. Michael responded, too. I did the same, but Michael lowered his hand.”

Tyson continued, “In a way, I said, ‘Did he play with me? No he just didn’t see me.’ I knew he wasn’t playing with me because I was a champion.”

“He was on stage, it was finished while I was signing. Then Michael came and started talking to Don, he didn’t talk to me.”

“Then I went to meet him. He said, ‘Do I know you from somewhere?’ It shattered my ego. I said, ‘No, I’m just a fan, nice to meet you sir.”
