German Chancellor Angela Merkel repeated her warnings about the coronavirus pandemic at the weekend. Merkel met with the state parliamentary group heads of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party on Sunday. “Tough, very difficult months are waiting for us,” she said in her video meeting.

The Prime Minister predicts that the number of coronavirus cases will increase rapidly in the coming months and that it will not be possible to organize major events outside.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel also said in her weekly video podcast. “What we need to do for now is to reduce contacts, get together with far fewer people.”
