Maya Hawke explained that she has dyslexia

Finally, actor Maya Hawke, who played the character of Robin Buckley in Stranger Things series, made new statements.

Hawke said that she had dyslexia (a reading and learning disorder), so she talked about her difficulties as a child.

The 22-year-old actress stated that she was expelled from school because she learned to read late and could not learn for a long time.

Hawke said the following:

“I see dyslexia as one of the greatest blessings of my life in many ways. I had a hard time in my childhood. I was expelled from school for not learning to read. I moved to a special school for children with learning difficulties. It took me a long time to learn to read and I’m still limited.”

When Hawke moved to the upper grades in her education life, I had to join lower reading groups.

“My mom and dad did a great job on this to encourage me to be creative.”

HOW IS DYSLEXIA TREATED?

Experts who point out that the learning models of children with learning difficulties are different. Treatment with special learning disabilities is not with medication. Experts emphasize that it is possible with individualized training. According to experts, the main element of education is occupational therapy.
