Jennifer Lopez: I broke the stereotypes of the film industry

The visibility of women and blacks in the film industry is questioned and equality. Jennifer Lopez also attended.

When US pop star Jennifer Lopez decided to become an actress and went to Hollywood in 1993. She explained that she had the trouble of being of Latin origin.

Lopez, 51, said, “Latin-born actresses were given tenth-class roles such as cook and nanny. But I wanted to play the lead role and I resisted and broke the stereotype of Latin women in the film industry, “she said.

Pointing out that it doesn’t matter to be Latin, black or Asian, Lopez said. I want to represent human beings. But despite all this effort, the representation of Latin actors in Hollywood movies is still 6 percent.”
