In Japan, Prime Minister Shinzō Abe resigned from his duty of prime minister, which he had held since 2012, citing health problems.

Abe held his last press conference on June 18, briefly answers the questions posed to him.
National media reports reported that Abe vomited blood in the prime minister’s residence in July.

Abe assumed the post of prime minister for the first time in 2006, resigned after his LDP suffered a heavy defeat in the 2007 upper house elections.
