Israel Embassy in opens Abu Dhabi

In a written statement from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the Israeli Embassy in Abu Dhabi will serve in temporary offices until a permanent campus is found.

Israel announced that it opened an embassy in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with which it signed an agreement to normalize relations.

In a written statement from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the Israeli Embassy in Abu Dhabi will serve in temporary offices until a permanent campus is found.

In the statement that Eitan Naeh, who was appointed as the Ambassador, went to Abu Dhabi, it was noted that the official opening of the embassy will be held in the coming days.

It was stated that the opening of an embassy in Abu Dhabi is another step towards the implementation of the normalization agreement signed between Israel and the UAE on 15 September 2020.

Naeh had served as Israel’s Ambassador to Ankara from December 2016 to May 2018.

Israel and the UAE signed an agreement to normalize relations at a ceremony held at the White House on September 15, 2020.

The UAE administration decided to open an embassy in Tel Aviv today.
