Immortal snake alert in the US

A resident of the US state of Virginia called wildlife officials saying he saw a strange snake with a half-moon head. It determined that the animal in question was not a snake, but a hammerhead flat worm, a highly dangerous invasive species.

Impossible to kill an animal that regenerates itself when a part of its body is cut off. It announced that the species came from Asia to the US.

The unnamed resident contacted the 24-hour snake helpline of the Virginia Wildlife Management Control and notified the authorities. In the first statement made by the authorities, “We detect thousands of snakes every year. But the problem is we’ve never seen anything like this before. If you have any idea what happened, please contact us.”

It turned out to the wildlife team that the ‘snake’ was actually a hammerhead flatworm, an invasive species that came from Asia. It was stated that worms came to the USA through plant trade in the early 1900’s and has been increasingly widespread in the region since then.

Hammerhead flatworms do not harm humans and pets. It was stated that they could harm biodiversity and agricultural products because they are predatory and poisonous creatures.

All ecosystems on the land where animals, whose height can vary between 20 centimeters and 40 centimeters. It said that it devoured insects and invertebrates smaller than themselves.

Although hammerhead flatworms have been known for a long time, they are still a mystery among scientists. It discovered that no parts of these animals, which have the power of regeneration, died when they cut into pieces.

In a previous study, you had a hammerhead flat head cut into 300 pieces. It seen that each part produced a separate head for itself and reached full size in a short time.
