Sacha Baron Cohen, the star of the Borat movie, responded equally harshly to US President Donald Trump’s harsh comments about him.
An actor of the new Borat 2 movie, directed by Sacha Baron Cohen, sneaked into the White House and filmed as a journalist. Maria Bakalova, who portrayed Borat’s daughter Tutar in the film, easily infiltrated the White House, disguised as a journalist and with the help of those closest to Trump. The video secretly shot by the White House about the lack of security and non-compliance with coronavirus measures. The White House confused after it posted on Cohen’s account the next day.
Following the sharing of the video, Trump’s strong reaction was conveyed by Voice of America’s White House Bureau Chief Steve Herman on Twitter. According to Herman’s message, Trump said: “I do not know what it is. But years ago he tried to defraud me and somehow I wasn’t fooled by him. He’s a dishonest man and I don’t find him funny. To me, he’s mean.”
Upon this comment, Sacha Baron Cohen stated that he was advertising Trump’s new movie for free, and thanked him on Twitter in an allegorical way.
Cohen told Trump: “Donald, I’m grateful for Borat’s free ad. I admit I don’t find you funny either. But the whole world is laughing at you.”
