Facebook increased compensation: agreed to pay $ 650 million in unauthorized data case

Facebook has agreed to pay $ 650 million in the lawsuit filed on the grounds that users collect and store their biometric data without permission.

A group of users in the U.S. applied to court on the grounds that Facebook collected and stored millions of people’s biometric data without permission.

The company was charged with violating the State of Illinois’s Biometric B Interest Privacy Act. As a result of the years-long trial, Facebook agreed to pay $ 550 million in compensation last January to close the case.

The company, also known as the social media giant, raised this amount to 650 million dollars in the last hearing.

If an agreement is reached over $ 650 million, 2 million users will be paid between $ 200 and $ 450.
