Decision to close Twitter’s live broadcast application Periscope

Twitter decided to shut down Periscope, the live broadcast application it bought 5 years ago. In a statement made by Twitter, high costs were cited as the reason for the shutdown. Most of the apps in Periscope have been adapted for Twitter before.

Live broadcast application Periscope will say goodbye in March of next year. However, the broadcast archive will be available for download before the application is uninstalled.

Twitter bought Periscope for between $ 15 and $ 40 million in March 2015.
