Covid-19 vaccine, which has been successful in human trials in the UK, has passed the ‘new phase’

105 volunteers between the ages of 18-75 will be vaccinated in the new phase, which has been launched in the potential new type of coronavirus vaccine, which was successful in the UK.

In the UK, a new phase of potential new types of corona virus (Covid-19) vaccine studies, which have been successful in human trials, has begun.

In the statement made by Imperial College London University, it was stated that the trials on 15 volunteers were successful in the first place, and more volunteers will be vaccinated in the new stage.

In the new phase launched this week, it was noted that 105 volunteers aged 18-75 will be vaccinated, and possible reactions against the vaccine will be observed and the presence of antibodies that will destroy the effect of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the blood of the volunteers.

Katrina Pullock, Imperial College COVIC1 Clinical Leader, emphasized that the first clinical trials were successful and that it was too early to say whether the vaccine was fully successful in preventing infection.

MORE CLINICAL STUDIES NEED TO BE DONE

Professor Robin Shattock, who led the development of the Covid-19 vaccine at Imperial College, said that moving to the next stage in vaccine studies is an important step in assessing the safety of the vaccine.

Pointing out that blood samples from volunteers to be vaccinated will provide some indication as to whether the vaccine can produce an immunity to fight the virus, Shattock noted that larger clinical studies should be conducted to see if the Covid-19 vaccine is successful in reducing the spread or severity of the virus.
