Coronavirus suspicion in North Korea

A suspicious case was reported for the first time in North Korea, where no coronavirus cases were reported previously. Pyongyang administration declared an emergency in Kaesong city.

The North Korean State Agency has announced that a person who has entered the country from South Korea illegally in the border city of Kaesong has been detained on suspicion of Coronavirus.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un held a meeting with his party to discuss “an urgent incident in Kaesong city”.

North Korea leader declared an emergency, the city was quarantined.

If the suspect is detected a virus, it will be recorded as the first officially accepted case by the Pyongyang administration in the country.
