Children’s rights book by Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie and children’s rights lawyer Geraldine Van Bueren are writing a children’s rights book in collaboration with Amnesty International.

Amnesty International and Angelina Jolie are working on a book that informs children and young people of their rights. Children and adults not being aware of children’s human rights. Lack of repair mechanisms the starting point of the project.

Jolie is accompanied by child rights lawyer Geraldine Van Bueren in the book. Bueren is one of the people who prepared the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Bueren is the landmark event that gives children their unique rights for the first time.

The book called Know (And Claim Your Rights). It will be publish in the UK by Andersen Press and other international publishers in September 2021.

The vision of the book will be for all young people to know and demand their rights. The book is unprecedented in children around the world. It is broadcast on the streets and on the internet at a time when it embraces the climate emergency and important issues regarding the world, protesting racism and gender inequality.

Jolie said about the book: “Today we have young people ready to fight. We must provide them with tools to strengthen their struggle. Amnesty International, Geraldine and I wanted to deliver these books to young people and what they can carry with them. We hope it will be a guide they can use. Not only to inform them but also to enable them. To enable them to use these books as a reference when needed.”

The book is prepared for children aged 13 and over. It reveals how to apply them in the real world. For rights groups struggling to make a difference in every corner of the world.
