British Prime Minister Johnson will face serious difficulties in distribution of Covid-19 vaccine

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson; developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, which are allowed to be widely used in the country. He warned that they ordered a total of 350 million doses from 7 different vaccine candidates, including 40 million doses of the new type of Corona virus (Covid-19) vaccine, and that there will be “serious difficulties” in the logistics distribution of vaccines.

Johnson said in a press release at Prime Minister’s Office Number 10 that they will launch the largest vaccination program in UK history during the winter months. Reminding that the National Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Authority allows the widespread use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, Johnson stated that England is one of the first countries to order this vaccine in the world.

Johnson, “We ordered 350 million doses from 7 different vaccine candidates. 40 million of them are the Pfizer-BionTech vaccine.” said.

Pointing out that there will be “major logistical difficulties” in the distribution of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which will be used in the UK next week, Johnson noted that it will take several months to protect the most vulnerable against the pandemic.

“Therefore, while celebrating the scientific success of the Covid-19 vaccine, it is much more important that we do not get overly optimistic or think that the struggle is over.” used the expression.

The UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) approved the widespread use of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer.

The Postmer Ribo Nucleic Acid (mRNA) based vaccine candidate was “the first Covid-19 vaccine registered in the world”.

The vaccine, whose preclinical development studies and 3-stage clinical trials were completed in a short period of 10 months, was reported to be 95 percent effective in providing immunity against the virus.

The UK signed a pre-agreement to purchase 40 million doses if the vaccine was successful.

Johnson noted today on Twitter that the vaccine will be available in the UK from next week.

Meanwhile, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health, 648 people died in the last 24 hours in England due to Covid-19, while the total number of deaths reached 58 thousand 699.
