Biden’s top health advisor Fauci, dates for ‘normalization’

US President Biden’s Chief Health Advisor, Fauci, said about the course of the coronavirus pandemic, “If 70 to 85 percent of Americans are vaccinated by the middle or the end of summer, we can return to normal like autumn.”

US President Joe Biden’s Chief Health Advisor, Anthony Fauci, evaluated the latest situation of the Covid-19 outbreak in the country at a press conference held at the White House.

Stating that the epidemic in the country is still at “serious” levels, Fauci pointed out that the Covid-19 mutations found in South Africa and England are different from each other.

Stating that the mutation in South Africa has not been found in the USA yet, Fauci said, “Covid-19 mutation in England has been found in at least 20 states at the moment,” he said.

Underlining that these mutations do not make vaccines ineffective, Fauci emphasized that extra care should be taken in wearing masks.

Fauci stated that Biden’s target of 100 million vaccines for the first 100 days is also very reasonable.

Noting that they are preparing an action plan to increase the vaccination studies, Fauci made the assessment that “If 70 to 85 percent of Americans are vaccinated by the middle or the end of summer, we can return to normal as autumn”.

Fauci, who is also in the Covid-19 team of former US President Donald Trump, added that he now feels more comfortable.
