AstraZeneca restarts coronavirus vaccine trials

British pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, which developed a corona virus vaccine with Oxford University. Phase 3 clinical trials, which suspended due to side effects concerns, have resumed as of today.

AstraZeneca’s third-stage clinical trials in the UK have resumed today, according to the European clinical research database EudraCT.

In the database, it seen that the state of the experiments changed from “temporarily suspended” to “restarted”.

The British pharmaceutical manufacturer, which developed the vaccine with the University of Oxford, announced on Saturday that it received approval from the security authorities to continue testing.

Oxford University’s Covid-19 vaccine trials suspended last week due to a negative reaction in a volunteer.
