Despite the quarantine announced due to the new type of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confused and the demonstrations continue.
Thousands of demonstrators coming in convoys from different parts of the country gathered in front of the Prime Minister’s residence in West Jerusalem.
On the grounds that he could not manage the corruption case and the Covid-19 process. The demonstrators who invited the prime minister to resign. They often chanted “Bibi (Netanyahu) go home”.
Some demonstrators wore “Crime prime minister” t-shirts. The banner saying “It is better to be sick in democracy than healthy in dictatorship” drew attention.
Police blocking the roads where the demonstration will take place. They made frequent announcements about demonstrators to pay attention to social distance.
It was striking that some demonstrators brought ribbons with them to comply with social distance rules.
For more than 4 months in Israel, the Covid-19 outbreak badly managed. Demonstrations held for Netanyahu’s resignation due to the corruption case against him.
The Israeli cabinet cited the quarantine to limit the protests, but Parliament rejected it.
