Anti-government demonstrations held in Argentina

Demonstrations held against the government of President Alberto Fernandez in several cities of Argentina. Thousands of people took to the streets due to the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic in the country’s economy and the allegations of corruption in the country.

At the Obelisco obelisk in central Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Demonstrators gathered under the title of “freedom, justice and constitution” and organized a protest called “banderazo” carrying the flag of Argentina.

Demonstrators carrying banners shouted anti-government slogans. The protesters who participated in the demonstration with their cars formed convoys on the main streets of Buenos Aires and honked.

The protesters protested the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine that the government is planning to purchase and the judicial reform that it argued that it helped former President and current Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner escape from corruption cases.

The protests, which started at noon, were held in the cities of Cordoba Rosario, Mar del Plata, Mendoza and San Carlos de Bariloche, as well as Buenos Aires.
