A person detained in connection with the knife attack in Nice, France yesterday in which 3 people lost their lives. French media reports about the attack on Notre-Dame Church in Nice. It stated that a 47-year-old person detained on the grounds that he in contact with the attacker.

In the information shared by the French Counter Terrorism Prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard, it stated that the attacker a 21-year-old Tunisian. It recorded that Italy came to Lampedusa Island on 20 September and to France on 9 October.

Three people lost their lives and many injured in the knife attack in the Notre Dame Church in Nice yesterday morning.

Throughout France, the counter-terrorism plan brought to the level of “emergency attack”.

French President Emmanuel Macron said yesterday that the number of soldiers on duty in the “Sentinelle” operation, and the security of places of worship and schools will increase.

Prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard shared information about the terrorist who carried out the attack in Nice, in a statement. Prosecutor Francois stated that the attacker was born in 1999 and is of Tunisian origin. An identity card issued by the Italian Red Cross appeared on the terrorist. Prosecutor Francois announced that the attacker arrived in Italy in late September.
