A first in the history of the Champions League

For the first time in the history of the Champions League, a female referee whistled. Juventus defeated Dynamo Kiev 3-0 in the match directed by the Frenchwoman Stephanie Frappart.

36-year-old Stephanie Frappart previously directed the Super Cup match between Liverpool and Chelsea in Istanbul.

The French referee, for whom FIFA has given critical tasks recently, whistled in the 2019 Women’s World Cup final.

Juventus won the historic Champions League, directed by Frappart. With the goals of Chiesa, Ronaldo and Morata, the Italian team beat Dynamo Kiev, coached by Lucescu, with 3 goals.
