Rafael Nadal in the semifinals

Spanish Rafael Nadal made it to the semi-finals at the French Open (Roland Garros), the last grand slam tournament of the season in tennis.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament held in the capital Paris. 2nd seeded Nadal faced off against Italian Jannik Sinner, who made the first grand slam quarterfinal of his career.

In the match that lasted for 2 hours and 50 minutes in total, Nadal, who defeated the world-class number 75 Sinner 3-0 with 7-6, 6-4 and 6-1 sets, made his name in the semi-finals.

Spanish athlete with 12 French Open championships in his career. He will face Argentine Diego Schwartzman in the semifinals.
